Seeking Board Members
We are seeking new board members for 2025. No gardening experience is required—just a love to volunteer and give back to your neighbourhood and the chance to make meaningful community connections.
What does joining the board mean in terms of commitment?
• We meet monthly for 1 hour in the evening, about 8 times a year. Board members are expected to help with the following:
• Spring launch of garden (usually a couple hours in the morning in April to add soil, compost, etc)
• Closing of the garden in the fall (again a couple hours in late October/early November to remove plants, add compost, etc)
• Help with any new work projects (adding new beds, etc)
• Participate in our annual garden potluck (hosted at the park)
• Plus bring forth ideas to help foster a great community garden
• Background checks are required for all board members and are valid for 5 years
Being a board member is a great way to give back to your community.
